Gratitude

Once I thought I was grateful, but now, I am not so sure.

I did know how to appreciate all that I have, how to recognize the value of all that surrounds me, while I chase yet another cosmic dream.

While I want more and then enough.

But maybe I should have appreciated all that I have, recognized the value of all that surrounds me, while I settle like dust into this terrestrial life.

While I accept that what I have is more then enough.

And that in this manner, I could spend the rest of my days.

And call it a wonderful life.
