Some caves hold great treasure,
some caves I shouldn’t have entered
But now I can feel
far beyond my skin
the type of darkness
that makes me sing
–
You held a candle,
now be my starlight, and
to the background,
slip away
I’ll hum the tune
that pleases the Gods,
I won’t be calling your name
–
You can let the skies devour you,
you can give refuge to fireworks,
you can wait for the dawn, and she’ll chase away your fears
Or you can hum alongside me,
the ode to the Gods,
and collect pearls that used to be tears
