I find myself at the entrance of the cave, out of breath.
The delirious hunger for more life ate me up, and before I can take another step, I collapse to the ground.
Serenity from afar mocks me – I thought I could grab peace, I thought I could tame fulfilment, I thought I had everything under control.
Still lying on the ground, I feel the cave once again inviting me in.
Without resentment, a silent whisper comes through the solitary walls that I used for my nourishment.
They call, and they promise much more.
They only ask of me to take in their stillness.
