Mortality chasing eternity
Time flies
Passion, thirsty for life
Drowns out unfortunate cries
Chasing me out and about the universe
Leaving me no time to doubt
Or reminisce
Leaving me no time, no clues
About the afterlife, or life before
Passion paid my dues
Even after I’m long gone
And I’m no longer a memory
I’ll be clinging to everlasting distance
Yearning for mortality
Yearning for a shape,
To find a size that fits
Mortality will be chasing eternity
And I’ll be losing myself in bits
