It all happened suddenly –
I was engulfed by excitement
You, trembling, fell to your knees
For a moment,
We were out of our minds
Each with our own experience
Trapped inside our perception
Left alone with our brilliance
The stroke of lightning
Left us fighting
Left us to deal with
The lightness of being
You were begging
Your mind, bleeding,
Couldn’t comprehend this new beginning
My mind, left behind
Was seeing itself being witnessed
By a strange pool of indifference
And although it was left behind,
It was feeling oddly full
Oddly peaceful
Oddly unwilling to move
