Leo

Don’t make me wait

I waited for the wind
To spread across fields of roses
To caress each petal, over and over

Don’t make me wait for you

I waited for the night
To put to sleep sorrow and sadness
Capture nightmares, turn them into fables

Don’t make me wait for you

I waited for a word
To stumble across trails lost,
Then return to turn enemies to lovers
To drip from their lips, unable to resist
Speaking another love into life

So don’t make me wait for you
