Expected

I was going through the mansion of my life experience, and as grand as it was, it was incredibly silent.

There was no ecstatic chanting, it was no triumphant walk.

As grand as it was, there was no applause.

It turns out I didn’t reach unreachable hights.
I didn’t become larger than life.

It took a lot of effort,
but I just did what was expected.

Nothing more, nothing less.

I just lived through this experience.
