To keep my Vision aligned
Stayed true to myself, didn’t lose my Heart

Once my existence was appreciated Celebrated
I was loved, truly
By myself, by others
Yes, you loved me then

Once I raised my Voice
Screamed my Truth to silence my Doubts
Risked losing love
From you, from others
But you still loved me then

Once I flew away
To listen to Truth being spoken through another Man’s eyes
I made myself small
So I could watch another’s Fire burn
You respected me then,

Now I am on my knees
Depleted
Struggling
Trying to be myself as I let in others
Trying to be and let others be
Trying to hold on to my Vision, while fueling the Visions of others
Trying to stay strong,
