Let’s take a look at the sign Taurus, the archetype that it describes.
The complementary sign that is the opposite pole of the same theme is Scorpio. Sex, money, possessions. Change and exchange. Sharing and taking. Life and Death. Scorpio and Taurus work together to create balance in those areas of life.
The squaring signs, those that have a different motivation, are Aquarius and Leo. They are looking to find their place in society, to show themselves as special among others; and Taurus will learn how to move, how not to stay stuck in his old ways when faced with these two outgoing, socially inclined, fun-loving signs.
The trines, the signs of the same element, Virgo and Capricorn, will reveal what is Taurus focused on when expressing the element of Earth. As a fixed sign, he is here to sustain what was built by Capricorn, and what will be changed and perfected by Virgo.
In the Major Arcana of the Tarot, look at The Hierophant and also The Empress (she is associated with planet Venus, the ruler of Taurus).
